I plan to continue selling on Etsy and even on occasion, on eBay, however, it is freeing to have a central location forMetro Retro Vintagehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15293669557245798893noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714116674719118198.post-61558395029179742502015-06-09T07:46:00.001-07:002015-06-09T07:46:27.300-07:00The Artistry of the Japanese Kimono
A series of antique kimonos and traditional Japanese garb
were on exhibit from September of last year through January 2015, at the

Included among the many clothing displays, were items from
Western and contemporary designers who drew their inspiration from Japanese
culture, as well as examples of Western influence on Japanese Metro Retro Vintagehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15293669557245798893noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714116674719118198.post-55124170922582592642015-01-16T15:35:00.001-08:002015-01-16T15:35:57.609-08:00Dressing for the Dearly DepartedA large salon decked with mourning garments, jewelry, and accoutrements of the 19th century filled the exhibit hall featuring “Death Becomes Her: A Century of Mourning Attire” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
The entrance to the exhibit features a painted weeping willow, which
represents mourning.

Only to make an interesting discovery within. A secret held by the purse for over 75 years. I wrote about it here, on the Vintage Fashion Guild website blog. Check it out!

Ever since the Spanish conquistadors introduced
metalsmithing to the Americas, the art of working the precious silver mines of
Mexico have provided a lucrative craft.
